FELINE SOCIETY OF MALAYSIA
No. 41, Jalan 1/149J, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling,
57000 Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia.
Feline Society Malaysia has been through a difficult time
this last year and accusations, allegations and speculation
are rampant. Here, we the last committee, would like to offer some
clarification and explanation. Attached are two letters, one from the ROS
and the other from Encik Jailan, President of FSM from 2003.
The letter from ROS requests paperwork and documentation
from the committee of FSM, failing which the club would be deregistered.
This letter was address to Encik Jailan, who has not been a member of the
commmittee since 2004. This happened because Encik Jailan's committee
somehow failed to submit documentation regarding the acceeding committee,
headed by Mr. Wilson Ng. That committee was followed by Dr Moonyza's
committee (2007)
There are other discrepancies and violation of ROS rules
including failure to deliver a proper accounting of FSM's funds. These
problems began in 2003 and were discovered by the last committee in 2007.
While attempts were made to rectify the problem, the damage was too
extensive. FSM was deregistered officially on 23/12/2008
We are now trying our best to work with ROS and ACA so
that they will at least release sufficient funds to settle outstanding debt
and bills. We hope previous members and members of the public who are
concerned or interested in the issue will direct their inquiries to
