2007/11/25It's cats galore at international feline meetKUALA LUMPUR: Most cats are cute, but how many have the quality and pedigree of champions? Cats from Malaysia and around the world are vying for the top prizes in four categories in the largest cat show in Asia. The winners will be crowned at the Matrade Exhibition and Convention Centre off Jalan Duta today. Wife of the Federal Territory Minister, Datin Seri Siti Nooriah Ana Abdul Razak, who opened the event, was a most suitable patron -- she once owned 21 cats. Some 2,000 visitors dropped by on the first day of the show and many were bowled over by the variety of breeds and standards represented. The event was organised by The Feline Society of Malaysia, Borneo Cat Club, The Cat Fanciers' Association of the United States and sponsored by Royal Canin. |
